When a number from Nigeria makes sense for Hinge

Apps tend to tie your account to the country of your phone number. If you live in Nigeria, are moving there or spend time there, a number from Nigeria (+234) keeps the sign-up consistent with where you'll use Hinge.

It is also the simple fix when your own number is already linked to an old Hinge account, or when you'd rather not hand your personal number to another app.

What Hinge verification usually asks for

• Code format: a short numeric SMS code.
• Hinge links your account to the number — keep another login method active.
• Select the number's country in Hinge's dial-code picker before typing the digits.
